It is 2013 and we are so over the champagne toast. Please note, we are not over toasts or champagne. Champagne should be served at the beginning of the wedding so it can be enjoyed. I absolutely love tray passed champagne. Not only it is classy but it eliminates the wait at the bar for those who partake. To avoid wasted champagne, I recommend that guests toast with what they have in their glass!
Specialty cocktails, of course we are obsessed! Specialty cocktails are that little something that provide for an excellent guest experience. My favorite is when there is one that represents the bride and another for the groom. Include a little explanation on your bar menu, which provides a fun, customized touch! Another plus is that selecting a specialty drink or two (and not offering a full alcohol bar) can often help keep bar costs down.

Love wine tasting? Feature a wine tasting experience during cocktail hour. Select several of your favorite local wines for tasting. Find a dedicated area in the venue and select an educated bar tender to speak about the wines. This is a fantastic way to have guests interact with each other and keep them entertained during cocktail hour.
After dinner drinks are a must! Create a custom experience after dinner for the gentlemen. Dedicate a space for the men to mingle and feature your new hubby’s favorite aperitif. This can be enhanced with custom cigars as well as after dinner cheeses.
Any of the above provide for that little extra special touch and will leave your guests raving about the customization. We can’t say it enough — it is all about the guest experience! Any way to personalize and enhance that experience will set your day apart.
