The Classic Cluster

Ah, the classic, white bouquet that comes in a round, posy, or nosegay arrangement has endured for generations. This bride has poise, a pure heart, and she finds peace in the effortless things in life. She is uncomplicated and confident. Her friends would describe her as someone who has an authentic personality and is meticulous in all she does. The Bold Blossoms

The bold arrangement can come with one bright color, many bright colors, or one color in many hues. Either way, it is vivid and stands out from far away, like the bride who carries it! This bride is one with a vibrant personality. She’s an extrovert with a sense of wanderlust and a desire to meet and learn from people she’s never encountered. She’s the life of the party, and you can be sure she’ll spend most of her wedding on the dance floor! Her wardrobe is diversified and colorful, and she radiates cheerfulness wherever she goes.

The Leafy Lover

This modern arrangement is often accompanied by pastel colors, succulents, and verdant foliage that is representative of the free-spirited bride. This is the bride who embodies the boho charm you created a board on Pinterest for. Both her style and personality are soft and engaging. She is lovable and loving; her generosity and gentleness is unmistakable. She likes to go on small adventures and enjoys life’s simple treasures, like the feeling of drinking a warm cup of tea. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind, but she does so with great intelligence and leaves others pondering. Her style is free-flowing and light, and she loves the wind blowing in her hair!

The Simple Statement

The simple, singular flower or composite arrangement is carried by a bride who is confident in her ability to pull anything off. She is unique and creative in all she does. Her home may be organized, but her closet is what we’d call an “organized mess.” That’s OK though, because she tends to think differently from everyone else, and the results of her artistic judgement leave everyone in awe. She is inspired by the unexpected, and that love of unforeseen wonders is what draws others to her. She is contemporary and always one step ahead of you!

The Artsy Fartsy

This handmade treasure is one you cannot find anywhere else. The bride who carries it is a DIY guru and a Pinterest buff who will always have a crafty twist up her sleeve! She has a lot of respect for farmers market merchants who sell their own creations. She herself has dabbled in soap-making, beading, and calligraphy. She wanted an arrangement that was truly one-of-a-kind and that reflected her passion for being extraordinary. Her personality and style are special and unexpected, and she absolutely loves to be herself! She’s a great friend, and she has a knack for solving problems in a way that no one else has thought of before.

Wedding Chicks this week! Perfectly said by the Wedding Chicks: “Both Chad and Brittaney are avid readers and share a deep appreciation for literature which they incorporated into their wedding. They also love spending time in gardens and natural settings so it was clear that combining these two themes would be the perfect way to celebrate their nuptials!”
From Brittaney: “We chose Calamigos Ranch for our reception and were thrilled. It had the rustic quality we both liked, but it also maintained a sense of whimsy with lights dangling from the gigantic tree where dinner was served. To enter the reception, guest strolled down a path covered with lights to emerge in a garden. They passed under a book arch, put together by friends and family, before being welcomed to cocktail hour with a scavenger hunt and croquet matches. Flowers were everywhere: those made from book pages and colorful card stock were scattered among real blooms and petals. The hand-stamped triceratops is a nod both to the type of tea, Grumpy Dinosaur Mint, but also to my role as the triceratops puppeteer at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. Since I am a puppeteer, I chose to design and create a shadow puppet show to give to Chad as a wedding gift.”

COLOR STORIES

A SEA OF WHITES
//Laurel Bern Interiors//

There are some things that will never go out of style. White is most definitely one of those things. The traditional “white wedding” will always be around, but there is definitely no harm done in reinventing the wheel. There are millions and millions of different shades of white (think eggshell, ivory, cream, linen), and by combining them you can really elevate a classic idea. So don’t be afraid to pair that super bright white with a soft bone. The different textures and hues lend themselves to such elegance.

BOLD PASTELS
//Plaza Interior//

Since California is the land of endless summer, it’s only fitting that Bold Pastels are everywhere this season. Inspired by the many shades of cotton candy, bold pastels are perfect year round when paired correctly. Melty ice cream cones and confetti are super fun and brighten everyone’s day. Who doesn’t want that on their wedding? Happy colors inspire happy weddings and equally happy guests!

A SPLASH OF NEON
//BAN.DO Blog//

Drawing inspiration from Electronic Dance Music (commonly referred to by millennials as EDM), neon might be my favorite trend this season. When done right, it can really elevate a traditional event or table scape and bring an innovative fresh approach with a pop. It makes an incredible bold statement that will have your guests talking about for years after the fact. Think a pop of neon yellow on kraft paper invitations or a bright orange amidst a sea of greenery. It’s fun, fresh, and oh so different.
