Don’t get me wrong, I totally love a rowdy bridal party but if you have some partiers in your group a rehearsal is absolutely recommended. It is great for everyone to run thru the timing, where to stand, and how to pose a few times. This can relieve anxiety on the day of and prevent any mishaps!
Location & Logistics!

If you are very comfortable with your wedding location (a family church or house) then a rehearsal might be avoidable! A rehearsal is the last opportunity to see the space before the big moment. Familiarizing yourself with where things are located as well as how long it takes to get to certain places is a really big plus and can help ease day of anxiety!
Who is officiating?

If your officiant is your close friend who got ordained online last week, we highly recommend a rehearsal. While I love the personal touch that a ‘fricciant’ brings to the table they are often not up to speed on everything that a wedding consists therefore it is key to run through it the day before! If you have a professional officiating who has done hundreds of wedding and knows the drill this might a reason to skip the rehearsal.
How many guests do you have?

If you are having a small intimate wedding without a bridal party a rehearsal might not be totally necessary. If you are comfortable with your officiant, surroundings, and vows then you might be able to skip it! However if you have a wedding of over 50 it might be best to run thru everything the day before!
I personally love rehearsals and think they are a great way to run through everything and tie up any last minute details. It can ease day of anxiety and create a calm environment however they might not always be necessary depending on your location, guest count, bridal party, and officiant! When in doubt, check with your planner!
